Update on Negotiations

On Friday 29th May 2009 the NTEU met with the Vice-Chancellor and the Vice-Principal (Human Resources). The Vice Chancellor restated the University’s consistent position that the University is willing to negotiate a new agreement with the NTEU.
The NTEU and the University have agreed to return to the bargaining table in the week commencing 8th June 2009 and the University is looking forward to working together towards a new agreement.
The University trusts that now that the parties have agreed to return to the bargaining table, the NTEU will not engage in any further industrial action and that both parties will be able to focus on negotiating a new agreement.
