Transfers

Transfers occur when a member of staff permanently or temporarily transfers from one position to another within the University for a variety of reasons. There are two main types of transfer permanent and temporary. Detailed information on the process of transferring staff is located in the HR Policy Manual (PPP).

Secondment

A secondment occurs between the University and an outside organisation, secondments may be used for a range of purposes, the most common being staff development. Secondment is also often used when the University wishes to gain the services of an employee of another organisation for a defined period. The two types of secondments are out of the university and into the University. Detailed information on the process of transferring staff is located in the HR Policy Manual (PPP).

Pro forma secondment agreements are available for transfer into the University (.rtf) and out of the University (.rtf).
