University Course Fee Discount
The University offers eligible Academic and Professional staff, and their immediate family, the opportunity to study full fee paying graduate courses and Community Access Program subjects at the University of Melbourne with a 25% discount on the normal University fees. Special Studies Program (Academic Staff only)
The Special Studies Program (Sabbatical Leave) is a period of paid leave of between 2 months and 6 months duration which gives academic staff the opportunity to:
- keep abreast of recent developments in their discipline or subject
- maintain their scholarship and/or creative work by research and contact with leading academics and/or professionals at other institutions or locations, or, in some cases, for specific staff development or rehabilitation purposes
Staff Education Scheme (Professional Staff only)
The Staff Education Scheme is for staff who are studying an undergraduate or postgraduate course or subjects. Under the scheme, approved staff members are entitled to leave for study purposes. This scheme has been established, primarily, to encourage staff who do not hold an undergraduate degree to complete an undergraduate degree, however, it can be used for other approved courses.
