Work-Life Balance

At the University we know that not everyone's priorities and circumstances are the same.

University policies, practices and programs provide for increased flexibility when considering the needs of individuals who are concerned with balancing work and family.

The following are a list of some of the programs available to staff:

Maternity, Partner and Adoption Leave

The University is committed to creating and maintaining a workplace environment conducive to accommodating the needs of staff with family responsibilities. In recognition of this commitment the University has generous paid and unpaid parental leave provisions, including a return to work bonus equivalent to an additional 12 weeks salary for those returning from maternity leave.

Family Leave

In certain circumstances additional paid leave is available to staff to support family or household members during illness or emergency.
